At PBH, we use evidence-based therapeutic approaches to provide effective, individualized treatment.
Our clinicians are trained in a variety of methods designed to help clients develop coping skills, build
resilience, and improve overall well-being. Below are some of the key therapeutic approaches we offer:

CBT for Disordered Eating (CBT-DE)

CBT for disordered eating blends interpersonal therapy (IPT), cognitive challenging, cognitive reframing, emotion regulation, behavioral control to address
eating problems which result from an over-emphasis on and the excessive control of shape and weight. Treatment is highly structured focusing on healthy eating habits and the adoption of normal dietary rules.  

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a widely recognized, structured approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns that may create negate affect or influences behaviors. It is highly effective in treating anxiety, depression,  OCD, panic disorder,  generalized anxiety disorder, substance use,  impulse control disorder, stress, ADHD,
and developmental disorders.  For OCD and other anxiety disorders, CBT includes a very effective exposure component. 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is an intensive skills-based therapy to help individuals identify and regulate emotions, develop distress tolerance and mindfulness skills to better regulate behaviors., and develop a strong sense of identity and promote the development of healthy relationships. It is designed specifically for borderline personality, disorders of emotion dysregulation, and those who engage in self-destructive & suicidal behaviors.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a very specific type of exposure based treatment used
for trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and other psychological disorders. The process allows the brain to re-integrate information otherwise avoided by clients as we work through a variety of issues, allowing us to resolve trauma, improve emotional regulation, and behavioral control.

CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I)

CBT-I is a specialized form of cognitive behavioral therapy designed to treat chronic sleep issues. This structured, short-term approach helps individuals
identify and change thoughts
and behaviors that contribute to sleep disturbances. CBT-I is
highly effective for those
struggling with insomnia and other sleep disorders.
